The U.S society is divided into three hierarchical arrangement.The division of social classes is based on wealth,education,income and occupation.
The three categories of social division in U.S are :-
Upper class:-Upper class comprises of people with high income and high status occupation .They have wealth and control over political institutions.They works as Lawyer,engineers,professors etc.
Middle class:-Middle class includes people of relatively low status and positions like high school teachers,shopkeepers,small business owners.
Poor class or worker class:-The working class refers to the people who does unskilled work .They worked as clerk,maid,labourers etc.In working class most of the people are below poverty line.
