The bile salts which are formed as a result of the reaction of bile acids such as cholic, deoxycholic, with glycine or taurine are Sodium taurocholate and Sodium glycocholate.
In general, Bile salts are composed of the salts of four different kinds of free bile acids.
Each of these acids may, in turn, combine with glycine or taurine to form more complex acids and salts.
