Veins carry blood from organs to the heart.

Explanation:

  • ‘Blood vessels’ are of three types- artery, veins and capillary. Out of these three veins carry blood from the ‘body to the heart’.
  • Veins mainly carry deoxygenated blood except the pulmonary vein which carries oxygenated blood. Veins have wider valve as compared to the arteries.
  • Only one vein carries blood from one organ to other organ and is known as the portal vein.
  • Veins have ‘valves’ in them to prevent back flow. The pressure in the blood of the veins are very less.
