There are two types of fibre :

$\red {\bold {Natural \: fibre : }}$
Those which are obtained directly from natural resources like animals, plants, etc. are called natural fibre. eg. wool, cotton, etc.

$\red {\bold {Synthetic \: fibre : }}$
Those which are made from chemicals are called synthetic or man made fibre.
eg. Nylon, rayon, acrylic, etc.

There are mainly two type of fibres on the basis of obtained from :--

1. Natural fibres --- Natural fibre is fibres that are produce from plant , animals and also from geological process known as natural fibres .

2.synthetic fibres :- THE FIBRES WHICH ARE OBTAIN FROM CHEMICAL OR MADE BY MAN KNOW AS SYNTHETIC FIBRES .
