Terminal moraines are found at the terminus or the furthest (end) point reached by a glacier.
Lateral moraines are found deposited along the sides of the glacier.
Medial moraines are found at the junction between two glaciers.
Ground moraines are disorganised piles of rocks of various shapes, sizes and of differing rock types.
Different types of rock are usually laid down when the glacier melts.
These are also generally carried along by the glaciers. So, the moraines are usually the piles of these deposits.
So, there are many different types of moraines.
One of this type is the terminal moraine.
These terminal moraines are found at the furthest point reached by a glacier or the terminus.
Other moraines are lateral as well as medial moraines.
There is also another type of moraine which is known as the ground moraine.
