Promotes elongation of bones and it stimulates growth of muscles and cartilage
Hyposecretion of GH leads to Dwarfism
Hypersecretion of GH leads to Gigantism and Acromegaly
PROLACTIN
It regulates the growth of mammary glands and formation of milk in them
TSH
It stimulates the synthesis and secretion of thyroid hormones from the thyroid gland.
Thyroid hormones plays major role in regulations of BMR, formation of RBC's and reduces the no. of calcium in extra cellular fluid
FSH
In males, FSH regulates spermatogenesis.
