The two important sources of information about the Harappan Civilisation are:
Inscriptions done in the areas of Harappa and the Archeological relics from remains found in Harappa.
Explanation-
- Nearly 4000 ancient objects with inscriptions on it that includes seals, tablets, rods of ivory, pots and many more are found.
- Harappan civilization has a mysterious legacy which has yet not interpreted as the reason being the absence of bilingual texts and the briefness of the inscriptions.
- Harappa’s port town Lothal along with Bhogava River, Sabarmati River’s tributary, Gulf of Khambat and many more were the archeological findings of the site.
- Peripheral walls of Lothal were made in such a way that they would withstand floods and this probably brought the city to an end.
