Metals which do not corrode easily are Gold and Platinum.

(a)Corrosion of some metals are wantedly done in order to protect the layer of metal beneath from corrosion. This process is called Galvanisation.

(b) Corrosion of metal is a serious problem because it leads to wastage of money. such as in maintaining iron made machinery.
