Two parts of Eastern Coastal Plain:
Eastern coastal plain has vast stretch of landmass that spans between Bay of Bengal and the Eastern ghats from Tamil Nadu in the south through Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Odisha and West Bengal in the north.
Compared to the western coastal plain it is much wider and has big rivers like Godavari, Kaveri, Krishna that form deltas, making the construction of harbours and ports and all more difficult. It has lakes like Kolleru and other lagoons like Chilika and Pulicat. It is divided into six regions that form its parts- Coromandel Coast, Krishna-Godavari, Kanyakumari, Mahanadi delta and others.
