Prokaryotes are the organism that does not contain a nucleus and other membrane-bound organelles, while eukaryotes are those organisms which contain membrane-bound organelles with well-defined nucleus.
Prokaryotes do not contain a nucleus and they contain some organelle not so many, while eukaryotes have the nucleus which holds the genetic material and it contains many organelles which help in the functioning of the cell.
Example of prokaryotes include bacteria and those of prokaryotes include plant, animal and fungi.
