Some water harvesting systems used in India are
(i) In Rajasthan and Gujarat, the system of using underground tankas is popular for storing water for domestic use. '
(ii) In hilly areas like Himachal Pradesh, the system of using diversion channels called Guls’ and ‘Kuls’ is used for storing water for irrigation.
(iii) In Meghalaya, the bamboo pipe drip irrigation system is used to irrigate crops. .
