HERE I AM WITH UR ANS....
It was a Sunday when I was riding alone to my friend's home. I came across a busy red light & was waiting for my turn to get green, when I found a kid around 5-6 years old selling cotton candy come up to me, asking "Bhaiya kya aap mujhe gachibowli tak chodd doge" (Bro can you please drop me to gachibowli ). His clothes were quite dirty & torn off at some places. "Sure" I replied.
On the way, I asked him about his family & why he selling the stuff in this hottest noon. He told me "Bhaiya, ghar par paise kam padte hai isilye mummy mujhe ye bana kar beechne ko deti h" ( Bro, we have a shortage of money at home and my mom made it to sell it outside to make some money).
I asked "Do you go to school or not, I am asking this because you will earn more money if you will study ". Just to make him realize the importance of studies.
"Haan bhaiya jata hu, wo bhi English medium school mei. Ye toh mai sirf chutti ke din bechta hu" ( Yes bro, I go to english medium school. I only sell it when my school is off i.e. weekends) he replied cheerfully . I was totally surprised by seeing his attitude.
I still had a doubt whether he really studied or was just covering up. I asked "Can you please speak the alphabets from A to Z ". " Sure Bro. A,B,C.............................Y, Z " he spoke it all in one breath. I was just speechless. I asked him to read some difficult long English words written on the shops. To my surprise he managed to read them all. I don't know why but I was getting a feeling that he will surely do something great in his life if guided properly.
I was overwhelmed by his response. I asked "Have you had your lunch". "I am not hungry, me & my family eats only 2 times in whole day. Once in the morning & thereafter in the night when all come home " he replied. "Are you sure, I will buy you food" I asked. He abruptly said " No".
I said "Ok, But I know kids do not deny icecream. You can have it even if you are not hungry". He smiled. I got the answer. We landed up at the cream stone ice cream parlour. He requested "Don't buy from here, it is a big shop. They will give you very costly ice cream". I said "Relax, don't bother".
I ordered butterscotch having full of nuts & almonds for him. I can even memorise the joy & excitement in his wide open eyes when I was coming outside the parlour while holding the well decorated icecream cup.
"Is all that for me" he asked. I nodded with a smile. He quickly took the cup from my hand & started enjoying it.
Finally, I dropped him at his destination & gave my number if in case he needs any financial help in future, he can contact me.
The Joy, Zest & Satisfaction I observed on his face was priceless. It made my day.
I will never forget that time when he was enjoying his icecream.
It was really really a satisfactory day of my life.
THIS WOULD BE HELPFUL......
