Ans: According to Rajvir though no one really knows who discovered tea, but there are many legends attached to it. According to the Chinese legend, long ago a Chinese emperor always boiled water before drink it. As usual one day, when he was boiling water, suddenly a few leaves of the twigs fell into the burning water and it gave a delicious flavor. So, it is assumed that were tea leaves.
The Indian legends says, Bodhidharma, a Buddhist ascetic cut off his eyelids because he felt sleepy during meditation. Then tea leaves grew out of the eyelids. The leaves of these plants when put in hot water and drunk then banished his sleep.
