Direct speech :-

Ram said to me ," I writes a letter ."

Indirect speech :-

Ram told me that he wrote a letter.

Changes made in narration change are -

• change in tense.
• change in pronoun.

1. Change in tense :-

→ Here in the direct speech the sentence was written in present simple tense.

→ While changing the narration in indirect speech we converted the tense into past simple tense.

2. Change in pronoun :-

→ In indirect speech the first person pronoun is changed according to the subject .

→ And the second person is changed according to the object.

→ While the third person remains unchanged.
