My First Time Away From Home........

I had never travelled alone or had any kind of independent experience till seventh grade ended. After finishing my seventh grade exams, my parents decided to send me away for a couple of weeks. They wanted so send me to some place where i would learn and achieve something, changing the my way of thinking for the better.

Tennis is a game i have been playing since childood. After alot of research my parents send me off to tennis camp. Nick Bolitary tennis accademy was where i was going to spend my next three weeks. This massive tennis accademy is located in Sarasota Florida. Many of today's top mens and womens tennis players have been trained in that accedemy. This was the first time i was away from home, the first time i was interacting with new people. The first time i was totally independent. The good thing about this accademy was the it had a large international population so i got to meet people for all over the world, even from places like Hungary, Chillie etc.

I can decribe this first day in this accademy as scary. I was so nervous it wasn't funny. I was stuttering when spoken to and had no clue what to do. Well it was all good until i got to meet some people from my city who were real kind to show me this place inside out. I was there for a three weeks. Five hours of tennis everyday, a guidance course and then entertainment.

This place also had kids who lived there and attended regular classes in the day and played tennis all evening. Therefore it was very stringent and all school rules applied. I was staying in a dorm room with four other people, off which two very living there and hence i got an inside on boarding school life. This is one of the reasons I decided to come to a boarding school later.
