National Education Council was formed during the Swadeshi Movement:

In the year 1906, the Swadeshi movement National Council of Education was founded in Bengal. The british raj National Council of Education or also called as Nce was formed to promote science education and technology This activity was also a part of the Swadeshi movement. It then formed 'Bengal national college' and institue which later was merged to form the Jadavpur University.
