National Research Centre on Seed Spices is an ISO 9001:2015 certified organisation, located in Rajasthan. They conduct strategic and applied research on seed spice crop improvement, technologies associated with production and crop protection and genetic resource management. Currently the organisation’s focus is on developing high-yielding varieties of seed spices.

Seed spices are herbs from which we get spices such as cumin, coriander, fennel, dill, celery, aniseed etc. It is obtained from the fruits or dried seeds of these herbs. Spices add flavour to food and some have medicinal value.
