In the year 1997 a super cyclone hit Odisha. Ersama village was badly hit and for a long time people  could not trace their near and dear ones. The concrete homes were able to withstand the fury of the  weather whereas the houses that were not built by brick and mortar had washed away. It may be  known that a storm is full of sound and fury and sweeps away several generations of people, cattle,  trees and homes. Also it hits telephone lines and communication lines following which there is little  communication with one another. Other than leaving a trail of destruction, it hits  telecommunication lines , severs the ties with neighboring areas brings a pall of gloom. A calamity  of such kind is incomprehensible. Reshaping a particular town in this case through rehabilitation  takes a considerable time. Prashant the hero of this chapter continues to be a role model since he  coined a plan where many could extend a hand to help. He appeased the hunger of the young, the  middle and the old by asking the trader to give him rice and essential necessities. Other than  cooking, he devised plans to let the helicopters know that they were reachable and that there were  many hungry souls to feed.
