Navdep always plants pea and wheat in the same field. Why does he do so?

Here is the answer. As pea is a nitrogenous plant it helps in increasing the strength of the soil . By planting same kind of plant in the same field again and again makes the crop yield decline over the period. So, planting different plants alternatively give soil to regain nutrients for crops like wheat.
