The concert halls are designed specially for reflecting sound waves from the ceiling and the walls.  The design is for proper acoustic effects.

The sound waves from the musical instruments reach the audience directly.  Also the sound waves hit the ceiling and the side walls and get reflected.  The walls and ceiling are designed in curves so that the reflections reach the audience just (an instant) after the sound reaching directly from the instruments/audio amplifier.

The net effect will be that the effect of music lasts for a longer time on the ears of the audience.  The multiple reflections take place from ceilings and walls are called reverberations.

Due to the curved nature, the sound is reflected to all areas in the audience.
