Explain why speed is important for survival in the grasslands for animals that live there (Hint: There are few trees or places for animals to hide in grasslands habitat).

Herbivore animals, living in grassland has to protect themselves from the carnivores. Since there is very less trees and places to hide, the only way to protect themselves is to run. Unless they are faster than the predators, they won't be able to survive. And for carnivores to survive, they have to hunt other animals. unless they are fast enough to catch the preys, they won't be able to survive in grasslands
