Irrigation is the artificial method of supplying water to crops.

Types of irrigation:

Drip irrigation
Terraced irrigation.
Sprinkler irrigation.
Rotatory system of irrigation.

Drip irrigation:

In this method the water is conserved on large scale as the plants get water only to the required amount by means drops.

Sprinkler irrigation:

In this method the water is sprayed randomly on all parts of plants so that no water is left to be wasted.
