What is irrigation? Describe two methods of irrigation which conserve water.

Irrigation is the artificial method of supplying water to crops.
Types of irrigation:
Drip irrigation
Terraced irrigation.
Sprinkler irrigation.
Rotatory system of irrigation.
Drip irrigation:
In this method the water is conserved on large scale as the plants get water only to the required amount by means drops.
Sprinkler irrigation:
In this method the water is sprayed randomly on all parts of plants so that no water is left to be wasted.
