Answer:

there are three phases of author's relationship with his grandmother before he left the country to study abroad :

1) the phase of friendship : during the initial phase the author and his grandmother were good friends. the author had nothing but love and admiration for his grandmother. the grandmother used to look after him.

2) fading of friendship: this phase started when the author began to attend an English school in the city. The grandmother couldn't help him in his studies. The law of science baffled her. She didn't liked author's learning music.

3)Snapping of friendship: the author was given a separate room to live the interaction between him and his grandmother became minimal the grandmother rarely talked to him.

In the first phase, author's relationship with his grandmother began from his village. His grandmother used to wake him up in the morning, gave him breakfast to eat and used to help him to get ready for school.

In the second phase, author's relationship began when they came to the city and join the English school.Neither the grandmother could go to the school with him in his studies.
