Alternative strips of new crust and water.
The Mid-Oceanic Ridge help sin the formation of the underwater mountain range by the plate tectonic movement. The mid-oceanic rigdes are connected to form a global mid- oceanic ridge system which would be part of every ocean. There are two process of the mid-Oceanic Ridge. One of the process is ridge-push and the other is slab-pull.
Ridge-push occurs when the plates moves away from each other towards the subduction zone. At the subduction zone the slab-pull force comes into action.
