Answer:
First we want to know what is Petroleum and what is Conservation..?
So, Petroleum is mineral oil that is found under the ground or sea and is used to make petrol, plastic and other types of chemical substances. And Conservation was not allowing something to be wasted, damaged or destroyed.
Petroleum is one of the most used fossil fuels in the world it is a yellowish liquid which people use in their vehicles by which the vehicles get the ignition to travel around the world.
The amount of petroleum around the world is getting decreased day by day and still human beings aren’t aware of the fact that if one of this best fossil fuels isn’t available in the world, our future generation would be missing a lot in their lives.
Man's victory over Mother Nature has been an ongoing process since time immemorial and he takes pride in his inventions and discoveries. But his dominating attitude towards other earth mates as well as all the valuable resources has brought humankind to the verge of destruction. Unless we use the available resources wisely, we don't see any hope for our survival.
It's a well-known fact that it takes hundreds of years to replenish petroleum once it is used. The consumption of petroleum is far more than its production, and as a result, we are draining the oil reserves of Mother Earth rapidly. There is a dire need to conserve petroleum for sustainable development. Otherwise, we will have to face the consequences of our own thoughtless action.
Firstly, we need to use alternate resources to save petroleum. The golden principle of four Rs can go a long way to reduce our petroleum consumption remarkably. We should try to use a bicycle or walk for short distance and use sharing cabs or carpooling. Similarly, the use of public transport should be encouraged. We owe our coming generations all that we received from our forefathers and let us see it materialize by saving petroleum.
