The Vision is dedicated to a young girl whom Kalam met and asked her "what was your dream" for which the young girl replied "I want to live in a developed India." ... He regards his nation as a knowledge superpower and developed nation. Dr. Kalam has given a brief about the ways to develop India by 2020.

India Vision 2020 : The India Vision 2020 was not only a book but also imaginations and expectations of late former president of India Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam with India. It is written by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam and YS Rajan in 1998.
The India Vision 2020 represents in depth the weakness and strength of India. With the help of this book Kalam sir wants to say that India will be among 4 highest economy country in the world till 2020.
In this book Kalam also says that it is like a dream to all the Indians to see The india as the developed country.
