Answer:

(1) B to A and D to C

Explanation:

According to lenz law when a uniform magnetic field is switched on which is passing through a closed loop, then magnetic field is induced in a direction such that it opposes the change in the magnetic field applied. The induced magnetic field produces an induced current.

In the present situation,

The magnetic field is increasing and is into the plane of paper to oppose this change a field should be induced towards us that is out of the plane of the paper.

So the real question is, in the loop towards CD using thumb rule, the current is from D to C but in the loop towards AB it is from A to B. This does not work  quite well, because we get two different directions in two loops which are connected.

What we need here is Faraday's law which states "The induced EMF in a loop due to varying magnetic field is equal to rate of change of magnetic flux"

Also flux is more dominating in the loop with big area which means big EMF. Hence the current direction in loop towards CD dominates more than towards AB.

Hence the current goes from D like this D-C-B-A-D.

Hence option (1) suits the answer.
