Answer:

s=400m

Explanation:

Given,

u=0

v = 144 km/hr = 144 x 5/18 m/s

= 40 m/s

t=20s

To find s= ?

From the first equation of motion,

v = u + at

v = at [ u = 0 (given) ]

a = v/t

=> a = 40/20 m/s^2

=> a = 2 m/s^2

From the third equation of motion,

v^2-u^2 = 2as

s = v^2/2a [ u=0 (given) ]

=> s = 40 x 40 / 2 x 2 m

=> s = 400 m

Hence,the displacement covered by the car after 20s is 400m
