There are dozens of religions, and thousands of superstitions, the individual or the citizens may believe in them and practice them, that is their decision and part of our freedoms. Citizenry often consists of believers of many religions, some in majority others in minority. Accepting any religion as basis of public decision making moves away from rational thinking. Religions and superstitions are based on suspension of logic, and a belief in the unseen, unheard, unmeasured. Furthermore religious beliefs are divine edicts in favor of or against particular thinking or action as a consequence on the individual level are a truncation of our liberties, again such curtailment of our sovereignty may be acceptable to the individual but can not be accepted for all or by the state.
