Neha has two planks of wood. One of them is 11 m less than 3 times the length of the other one. The two planks put together are 25 metres long. What is the length (in metres) of the longer plank? pls answer this asap will give 100 points

HEY! ANSWER IS:

Let one of the planks size be, x

Then other plank=3x-11

When put together=25 meters

x+3x-11=25

x+3x=25+11

4x= 36

x=36/4

x=9 meters

Longer plank = 3*9-11

                        =27-11

                           =16 meters
