As we know that burning is a chemical process which requires oxygen and when she covers the candle with glass all the oxygen inside the gets used up so the flame burns for sometimes before it finally goes off.

it is because of the supply of oxygen is stop by covering the candle with glass.
the candle burn until the oxygen present in the empty glass not get converted into carbon dioxide after some time the all oxygen present in glass get converted into carbon dioxide or then candle stop burning because carbon dioxide not support burning..
