capacitors= C

Since they were in Series capacitance is given

by -

C_{net}= \frac{1}{C_1} +\frac{1}{C_2}+ \frac{1}{C_3}

In our Case,

3= \frac{1}{C} +\frac{1}{C}+ \frac{1}{C}

\implies\frac{1}{C} +\frac{1}{C}+ \frac{1}{C}=3

\implies\frac{1+1+1}{C}=3

\implies\frac{3}{C}=3

\implies C=3

In parallel,

C_{net}=C_1 + C_2 + C_3

C_{net}=C+ C + C
