Active Voice refers to a sentence in which the subject is performing the action.

Passive Voice refers to a sentence in which the subject undergoes the action. In other words, it is writing the sentence in reverse order.

Example: She is drinking water. (Active)

Water is being drunk by her. (Passive)

NOTE: Sentences that convey habitual actions cannot be changed to passive mode.

New dresses were bought for her by her mother. (Passive)

Her mother bought new dresses for her. (Active)
