News Channels are the current mints of money making. They are mushrooming by the day. Every Brand of telecasters are introducing a News Channel. Gone are the days when one used to sit and watch the 9 p.m News on Doordarshan to be updated with news of the home and the world. The news readers too used to be charismatic personalities with a grave intellect unlike today's attention mongers and loud speakers.
Today's News Channels are bereft emotions and sentiments. They pay no heed to human sentiments nor do they respect human values. A person who has lost a parent is audaciously asked 'What are your feelings?'
Today's News Channels are purchased media. They share news in exchange of money. Each channel survives on money provided by corrupt politicians and businessmen.
Many a time they report fake news and dwell in falsehood. They love to spread hatred and bask on demeaning others. Most of them become mouth pieces for the political parties that fund them.
In my opinion, after considering today's scenario 'No news is good news'. Owing to the false news mongered by News Channels I have lost all belief in the News Channels.
