Good morning everyone; I am here to debate on ‘News channels report news with honesty and sincerity’; and I am going to speak in favor of it.
Media has a very crucial responsibility of bringing the truth to light; becoming the voice of the oppressed and fighting injustice in the society. Undoubtedly, media shoulders this responsibility.
I strongly feel news channels report news with honesty and sincerity; they don’t have any other choice. The reason is there are so many news channels in the market if one news channel doesn’t report the truth, the other channels will. People will come to know the truth and lose interest in that particular channel that does not report objectively and unbiasedly. Its TRP will go down and it will incur loss.
In the modern world truth cannot be hidden. News channels are bound to report with sincerity and honesty. There might be a little subjectivity in the news, but there can surely be no distortion and misrepresentation of the truth.
