Newton's first law states that, if a body is at rest or moving at a constant speed in a straight line, it will remain at rest or keep moving in a straight line at constant speed unless it is acted upon by a force. This postulate is known as the law of inertia.

Dear, friends :)
: The newtons first law of motion :
❍ A body at rest will remain at rest or a body in motion will continue in motion until an external force applied on it.
❍ example when you are going in a bus and driver suddenly puts break your body falls forward.it is because of the first law your upper body want to move continue the motion but your lower body is fixed to the seat of the bus so you fall forward.
Hope you understand it now!!:))
