By using joules law of heating
H=isquareRT
So the resistance of nichrome is more compared to of copper so the nichrome wire gets heated faster.

Hey !!
Question
Nichrome and copper wires of same length same radius are connected in series. Current I is passed through them. Which wire heated up more and why ?
Answer
I is same in both
when I is constant
The heat produced is constant
H = I²Rt
H ∝ R
R ∝ f f is higher for nichrome.
So, R is higher for nichrome.
More heat is produced in Nichrome wire.
DETAILED ANSWER FOR BETTER UNDERSTANDING
Among the two wires having similar length and radius, Nichrome wire gets heated up more as compared wire since resistivity of Nichrome is more than that of Copper. Also, Nichrome wire is a good conductor of current and have very less resistance, so it will heat sooner as compared to Copper.
GOOD LUCK !!
