yes, you are right. Childhood is the agewhere we are without responsibilites and shoulder and we pass our time by enjoyment. And adulthood is full of responsibilities and little entertainment.
Nicola and Jacobo's life was full of responsibilites and hardships. They had to choose many activities for the earning and had a big responsibility of treating their sister who was suffering from tuberculosis of spine. They avoided their own comforts to keep their sister comfortable. They were able to earn much payment but they donated that payment for the treatment of their sister in a very big hospital. They lead a very simple life . Even they ate cheap food like bread... etc. The conditions they spent in their childhood was resembling adulthood.

After losing their mother at a young age, they lost their father too during the war and also became homeless and then they found that their sister was suffering from tuberculosis of spine and had to take care of her, had to earn for a living. Their survival depended on their spirit to fight back and they willingly took upon themselves all the responsibilities by doing different jobs at this young age. So all the conditions forced them to attain adulthood in their childhood itself
