Each friend will get \frac{x}{3} cards.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the Total number of cards be x.

Now it has been Given that;

Amount of Money Nicole has = $9

Cost of one set of cards=$27

Since she finds friends with the same amount of money to split the cost of a set.

So, Number of friends can be calculated by dividing the cost of set of card with Amount of Money Nicole has.

Number of friends = \frac{27}{9}=3

Hence there are total 3 people including Nicole.

Now, Number of cards each friend gets is given by Total number of cards divided by Number of friends.

Number of cards each friend gets = \frac{x}{3}

Hence Each friend will get \frac{x}{3} cards.
