Al : X = 9 : 16  ...... (i)

Al : H = 27 : 3 ..... (ii)

Multiply (i) by 3

Al : X = 27: 48

Al : H = 27: 3

⇒ X : H = 48 : 3 = 16 : 1

16g og X react with 1g of H

∴ 8g of X = (8 x 1)/16

               = 0.5 g
