Short summary to the chapter:-

The chapter "The Fun They Had" by Isaac Asimov, belongs to future generation.In this chapter we have been shown the differences between future and past time generation, specially in the way of education. Margie wrote in her diary on 17 May 2157 that Tommy found a "real book", which was a satrange experience for both the children.Tommy told Margie that the book was about past schools.It was a very old book and was found in a very bad condition.Tommy started reading that book.Margie first doubted why anybody would write about schools.It was very strange for both the children because they had screens as their books. They had regular teachers at home. Margie had been performing badly in Geography. Her mother sent for a county inspector. He came and repaired her regular teacher.They both children started reading book.Tommy told her that old time schools were very different to theirs.He told here that there were special buildings where same age of children come to study, the bulding was called school. Mean while the County Inspector had repaired the mechanical teacher. Then Margie's mother called her for her class as it was the time of school, she went in her room sat in front of the teacher and submitted her homework. She kept thinking about the book, specially about those special schools where "The fun they (students) had".
