Niranjan is 8 from the left end and arjun is 11 fromthe right end in a row of boys if there are seven boys between niranjan and arjun how many boys are there in row

If they are not crossing each other , total number of boys = 8+11+7 = 26 (Ans.)

if they cross each other , total number of boys = [26-7*2+2) = 14 (Ans.)

The position of Niranjan = 8 from the left end

The position of Arjun = 11 from the right end

No.of boys between Niranjan and Arjun = 7

To find :

No.of boys in the raw

Solution :

Since the position of Niranjan is 8 from the left and the position of Arjun is 11 from the end and also there are 7 boys in between Arjun and Niranjan , hence the total no.of boys in the row would be the addition of Niranjan's position, Arjun's position and the no.of boys between them.

Hence, the no.of boys in the row = 8 + 11 + 7

= 26

Therefore, there are 26 boys in the row.
