Nirankari system in Sikhism was started by Baba Dayal Singh.  His original name was Dayal Das who was half Sikh and half Hindu.  This sect was called Nirankari because they believed that God was formless and there was no need of temples.  They believed that guru was the living incarnation of God and was worshipped in place of God.
