Let present age of shweta be X year's.

Present age of nirmala = 2 ( Present age of shweta ) = 2X year's.

★ Subtracting 6 year's from shweta's present age.

( X - 6 ) year's.

★ Adding 4 years to nirmala's present age.

( 2X + 4 ) year's.

According to question ,

When 6 year's subtracted from shweta's age and 4 Years added to nirmala's present age. Then, nirmala's age is equal to four times shweta's age.

Therefore,

2X + 4 = 4 ( X - 6 )

2X + 4 = 4X - 24

4X - 2X = 4 + 24

2X = 28

X = 14 year's.

Present age of shweta = X = 14 year's.

and,

Present age of nirmala = 2X = 28 year's.
