Nita walks from her house 160 metres north and from there 630 metres west to visit her friend.while coming back ,she walked diagonally from her friend's house back to her home.What distance did she walk while coming back?

We have to findAB

Applying Pythagoras theorem,
AB² = AC² + BC²
AB² = (160)² + 630²
AB² = 25600 + 396900
AB² = 422500
AB = √422500 = 650 m

So she walks 650 m
