However, an individual cannot live completely in isolation away from other like organisms, it is dependant upon other biological life and the surrounding physical environment. The term environment refers to all the external factors affecting the life of an individual organism or a population of organisms.

Living things don't exist in isolation as every organism must interact with each and everything in the nature as it is a part of biological interaction . ... It can also be caused not by change to the environment itself, but by the organism's movement to a different environment.
