Answer:

120 in²

Step-by-step explanation:

given :-

length = 6 in.

breadth = 6 in.

height = 2 in.

formula to find the surface area of a cuboid (rectangular prism) is 2 (lb + bh + lh)

therefore it's surface area = 2 ( 6 × 6 + 6 × 2 + 6 × 2 )

= 2 ( 36 + 12 + 12 )

= 2 × 60

= 120 in²

hence, it's surface area is 120 in²

you will have to find out the individual area of each quadrilateral & then add them up:

quad. with dimensions of 6×2 inch

area=6×2=12

as there are 4 of the above the total area of such quadrilaterals=12×4

=48inch sq.

now the area of quadrilateral with dimensions of 6×6

area=6×6=36

as there are 2 of the above the total area of such quadrilaterals=36×2

=72inch sq.

adding them up to find the total surface area=

=72+48

=120inch sq.

Le1414An0720: wow thanks for explaining it and for the answer.
sxsingh21: my pleasure
