The longest side of a triangle is 7 times the shortest side and the third side is 5cm shorter than the longest side. If the perimeter of the triangle is at least 49cm, find a minimum length of the shortest side understand

The shortest side=x

Longest side=7x

Third side=7x-2

Perimeter of the triangle ≥ 49cm

So,

(x)+(7x)+(7x-5) ≥ 49

7x-5≥ 49

7x ≥ 49+5

7x ≥ 54

x ≥ 6

as, x is the length of the shortest side therefore it’s length is at least(i.e. minimum) 6cm.
