pollution is a very big danger for us pollution has been started all over the world there are 3 kinds of pollution air noise water noise pollution is caused by loud sounds these pollution can damage us and our ears it is very harmful for animals we can stop it by not honking the horn ,avoid music loud and many more ways

Noise Pollution

It is defined as too much noise in our surrounding that causes discomfort and disturbance of any kind.

The various causes of noise pollution are :-

(a) Noise from vehicles, horns, loudspeakers, etc

(b) Bursting of crackers

(c) Loud music

The loudness of sound is measured in decibels ( dB ).

A sound of about 90 dB and ever produced for a long time causes noise pollution.

Effects of noise pollution :-

Noise pollution causes various health hazards such as

1. Headache

2. Inability to concentrate

3. Nervous tension

4. Sleeplessness

5. Irritation

6. Earache

7. High blood pressure

8. Deafness

9. Difficulty to converse with each other

Ways to control noise pollution :-

1. Automobiles should be fitted with silencer and soft horns. Do not blow horns unnecessarily.

2. Use of loudspeakers should be banned.

3. The music system, radio and television should be played at a low volume.

4. Avoid bursting crackers as it causes not only noise pollution but also air pollution.

5. Machines should be well maintained so as to produce minimum noise and people working in noisy conditions should wear ear plugs.

6. Airports, factories and railway station should be away from the residential area.
