It is a mass movement. It was lead by Mahatma Gandhi against British. It was a violence and arogent movement. It is the in which no cooperation with british government. People started to boycott foreign goods and use sawdeshi goods. It also give the idea of swaraj.

On 31st August 1920 Gandhiji launched non cooperation movement. This movement aimed at attaining Swaraj in one year. The program of non cooperation movement included boycott of-

•foreign goods

•government schools and colleges, law courts, legislature and all government -controlled institutions

•all titles and honorary offices

•government or semi- government functions

•elections to be held for the councils

The programme also aimed at some positive constructive features such as-

•promotion of swadeshi

•removal of untouchability

•promotion of Hindu -Muslim unity
